All about fireworks!

In just a few hours, the skies will be alight with fireworks. For hundreds of years fireworks have dazzled and amazed us. And they’ve become synonymous with the 4th of July.
But how much do you know about fireworks? If you don’t know the names for the different fireworks, you can learn them. Video clips of 18 different varieties will make the learning fun.
You’ll also learn how fireworks are made (although I don’t suggest you try making your own!). Or read an interview with a pyrotechnics expert. Find out what new fireworks are being developed.
Have a fantastic 4th! But remember to put safety first when you’re around fireworks.
The media clips are in several different formats. You’ll need the free Flash player and RealPlayer or QuickTime. The site includes links to download the required programs.
