Mixing Colors

The first thing you need to know to mix fascinating and brilliant colors is what are the different types of colors. As you probably know, the colors yellow, blue and red are called Primary Colors. But what do Primary Colors really mean? Well, in other words it is impossible to create red, blue or yellow with other colors. These are the basis of the wonderful chromatic world.
Secondary Colors as you can see in the color wheel below, are created by mixing two Primary Colors together. These are the following combinations: Yellow + Blue = Green, Blue + Red = Violet and Red + Yellow = Orange
The Tertiary Colors are shown in the center of the wheel. These are achieved by mixing two Secondary Colors. The combinations are as follow: Green + Violet = Olive Green, Violet + Orange = Brown and Orange + Green = Ochre
